COVID-19 Precautions

Due to concerns about the novel coronavirus and related disease (COVID-19), we are taking precautionary measures to keep our staff, clients, and visitors safe, while continuing to provide tax and accounting services.

These certainly are unparalleled times to say the least.  (Betcha you thought I was going to say the other word unpr….but that word has be flogged to death.)  As we are categorized as an “Essential Service”, we are still open for business regardless of any lockdown.  However, the new business usual has to reflect reality. Our new business model has to reflect ongoing public health measures, while maintaining our accessibility to you and ensuring compliance with the various pieces of legislation that govern the sensitive information that you have entrusted to us.

As a result, we can no longer offer in house bookkeeping services.  However, we can most certainly complete the work on your systems remotely.  Walk in traffic is no longer allowed at either location.  In lieu, clients are asked to schedule an appointment or phone when they have arrived so that staff can unlock the doors.  We do ask that clients provide their information for contact tracing purposes.  All visitors to the business must be in compliance with local health unit guidelines, which means a mask is mandatory.  We have also limited the number of clients to 1 person per family unit, who will sign for everyone on their behalf.  Our engagement letter will provide the authorization.  

We have also installed drop boxes in front of each office location.  These boxes have been fastened to the ground, are locked and monitored.  They are emptied on a regular basis throughout the day and the handles sanitized.  Please make sure all loose papers are in a sealed envelope or package.

You can also email us directly with your paperwork, or upload your information using our secure website portal.  When your paperwork is complete, we will contact your and arrange for a suitable pickup and payment method.  Documents requiring signatures can be sent back via regular mail, through the dropbox, or through electronic means, including Docusign.  Payment can be made using a variety of methods including e-transfer, credit card or cash/cheque if picked up in person.

We have a commitment to the health and wellbeing of our staff and their families and to you, our valued clients.  We recognize that this may be a challenge for some, but work with us, and we will get the job done.  We look forward to seeing each of you when this challenge has been vanquished.
